Page rank is one of the most talked about topic in SEO industry. Every few months Google will update the PageRank data that show in the toolbar. Over the past few days, Google has updated their Toolbar Page Ranking. I was noticing that a lot of sites gone up and some got hammered on this newest update.

Some of our friends performance :

1. MichaelAulia gone up from PR1 to PR4
2. TheWealthyBlogger gone up to PR4
3. ROCKFUSE went up from PR0 to PR3
4. Mxyzplk Money Maker went up from PR0 to PR2

Congratulations on your PR......you all deserve it. I got PR2 after 7 months blogging. Oh well, I do notice my SE traffic increase month-over-month, I’m not too worried about PR…for now. I'm Just focusing on building contents & social networking with other bloggers and hoping someone links back.

My Blog is still very young, and they gave me a PR of 1. Right now, I am not very much concerned with page rank and traffic rank. Content first. After the content and marketting, I am sure the rest will follow.

AZ, most important we enjoy blogging...and those who really want to make money online, how much the total income is the most...but PR is very important to those who want to sale their Advertisment slot.

PR isn't everything you know. It's just a metric of how popular your blog is - sometimes, an inaccurate metric. Like Bonoriau said, the most important thing is that we're blogging.

well sometime if you want to increase you traffic, you have to loose your pagerank, its really hard to make everything balanced.

And it is not really important, but for me, pagerank is just like a score, Im a ex gamer that love to see my character stats, and now my character is my blog and I love to have a good stat for my blog :D

btw, even I have PR, there still no advertiser that want to have some review from my blog :P hehhehe... im still a noob to get money from a blog :(

mxyzplk, your nick name very unique. I'm happy earning few dollars a day after 7 months blogging...and hoping my Alexa ranking will be under 100,000 & PR5 by the end of 2008.

Yeah all my pr2 blogs gone to zero and my pr4 gone down to 3. I can still say Google is fair. They give chance every blogger to experience and enjoy PR while slapping others pr too! lol. So I don't feel bad. It's bloggers life! Keep blogging.

Hello! I have four blogs, and after my very first blog was slapped with PR0 from PR3, I opened three new blogs. Two of them (Shutter Happenings and Familia Khuletz) are both four months old and are now PR 3. My travel blog - Jenn Was Here is three months old and has PR 1.

How do we get PR? What determines the PR of a blog? I cannot really understand it because my travel blog is the one I addictively update yet it had a lower PR compared the other two.

But I am happy. At least my blogs have some value now. Happy Weekends!

Salam Pak Bono,

Well, mine was from Pr=0 to Pr=2 to Pr=3 and remains still Pr3. All in the course of 7 months (though i started blogging in 2006 - that didnt count since it was errr.. just for fun) I consider my self as blogger starting this year.

Technorati and alexa have had their good shares thanks to that genie linky love.

I love to have a higher PR, higher techno. and lower rank number in Alexa (which i doubt i will get unless i ve changed my strategy)

But then again, i ve come across couple of blogs that have good PR but lack in comments. I love to have more comments that those 3 ranking combined. With comments, it feels your blog is alive and happening.. and it is difficult to maintain your readers too.

As i believe "Your comments feed my blog.." :)

Jenn, thanks for the comment. U have fantastic blogs. With your passion of blogging I'm sure your PR will improve. Some tips said that we must always visit to blogs which higher PR, link to them and always write quality comments.
